StarPiece Pico8
Help Mani, prince of the moon, bring order to the cosmos in this mini Metroidvania. Star pieces have fallen to earth leaving the sky in chaos. Use the power bestowed by the moon totems to find and return all the stars to their rightful place.
Inspired by fightstick controls found in popular games such as street fighter, Starpiece for pico8 aims to challenge players by using those same inputs for platforming challenges.
Controls:
X=X,V
O=Z,C
Arrows keys to navigate.
Press enter and navigate to options/controls. If inputs are confusing.

Sorry for late reply. I have a few bugs I am planning to fix, but once that's complete I will release a Exe file with the next update.
awesome I will follow and wait for it :)
Absolutely incredible game!
Thanks, glad you liked it
I like this game but I do find that the sequences are difficult to achieve sometimes as they're not very intuitive as an example double jump is (Down, Forward, X) I think (Forward, Up, X) would be more logical imo, but I guess it will come with practice I suppose. I do love the idea of using sequences to perform actions as this adds a layer of challenge that's really cool
I also like the on screen controls as this makes the game accessible even when using a smart phone (which I should really consider doing myself)
Overall had great fun playing this look forward to seeing how it grows
Thanks for the feed back.
I do agree with you, I never considered forward up as the input till you brought it up but that would be a lot more intuitive. I defaulted to (down, forward, x) since that is the Hadouken input from street fighter. (Forward, up, x) may make the input more consistant too, since most times you will already be holding forward.
I will try adding it and see how it feels.
Thanks!
